Add a new inventory item
Steps to create a new raw material in inventory and set its unit and thresholds.

This article covers adding a new raw-material item to inventory from the "إدارة المخزون" (Manage Inventory) page.
Steps
- 1From the sidebar choose "المخزون" (Inventory) to open "إدارة المخزون" (Manage Inventory).
- 2Click "+ مادة جديدة" (+ New item) at the top of the page — opens the "إضافة مادة خام" (Add raw material) dialog.
- 3Enter the Arabic name (required), an optional English name, and a SKU if you have one.
- 4Enter the unit of measure (defaults to "كغ"/kg), current quantity, minimum alert threshold, reorder quantity, and unit cost.
- 5Optionally enter category, supplier, supplier phone, and storage location.
- 6Choose the product type (raw material, semi-finished, sellable product, packaging) and visibility scope (production, POS, both, hidden).
- 7Click "إضافة المادة" (Add item) to save.
How to verify
Confirm the new item appears in the raw-materials list with the correct quantity and minimum threshold.
Common errors
Problem
"الاسم والوحدة مطلوبان" (Name and unit are required) on save.
Solution
Make sure the Arabic name and unit of measure are filled in before clicking Add item.
Problem
An unexpected "طلب شراء تلقائي" (Auto purchase order) button appears.
Solution
This button appears automatically when items fall below their minimum alert threshold — use it to quickly create a purchase order, or ignore it if you don't want to purchase yet.
