Add a user and assign permissions
Create a new user account, assign a role and branch, and build custom roles with fine-grained permissions.
This article covers adding a user, assigning a role and branch, and creating a custom role with specific permissions.
Before you start
- Creating users and editing custom roles requires a Super Admin account.
Steps — add a user
- 1From the sidebar choose "الفريق" (Team) to open "إدارة المستخدمين" (Manage Users).
- 2In the "إضافة مستخدم" (Add User) card, enter "الاسم" (Name), "البريد الإلكتروني" (Email), and "اسم المستخدم" (Username, optional).
- 3Enter the password: choosing the "كاشير" (Cashier) role switches the field to "PIN (6 أرقام)" — exactly 6 digits; otherwise the password must be at least 8 characters.
- 4Choose the role: Super Admin, Admin, Cashier, Kitchen, or Driver.
- 5For Cashier/Kitchen roles, selecting "الفرع" (Branch) is mandatory; other roles can set "الفروع المسموحة" (Allowed branches) and a default branch.
- 6Click "إضافة" (Add).
Steps — create a custom role with fine-grained permissions
- 1In the "إنشاء دور جديد" (Create new role) card, enter a role name and short description.
- 2Select the needed permissions from groups such as Purchase Requests, Inventory, Production, Reports & Management, Campaigns, Inventory Transfers, Purchasing & Cost, Financial Analytics, and Subscriptions.
- 3Click "إنشاء" (Create).
- 4Back on the Add User page, pick the custom role from the optional job-title dropdown to attach it to the user.
How to verify
Confirm the "تم إنشاء المستخدم" (User created) message appears, and that the new user can log in with the correct role and branch.
